Night of the Living Dummy II is the thirty-first book in the original Goosebumps series. The book was released in May 1993. It is the sequel to Night of the Living Dummy, even though, besides Slappy, there are entirely new characters.
The original 1995 cover illustration shows Slappy the Dummy sitting at the foot of Amy's bed, alongside two stuffed toy animals with frightened expressions on their faces.
The 2015 Classic Goosebumps cover illustration depicts Slappy sitting by Sara's bedroom closet with a sinister look on his face. Red paint is smeared all over the walls. Paint is all over Slappy's hands and a paintbrush is by his side.
