Goosebumps Series 2000 - Logo

Goosebumps Series 2000 is a series of books written by R.L. Stine. The series is a successor to the original Goosebumps book series. It began in 1998, and ended in early 2000, with a total of twenty-five books published. There were going to be more books in the series, but R. L. Stine's contact with Scholastic ended, so the series was discontinued, alongside Give Yourself Goosebumps. The planned Goosebumps Gold was also canceled due to the contract expiring.

The first book in the series, Cry of the Cat was released one month after the final Goosebumps book, Monster Blood IV. The series stated to be scarier than the original Goosebumps books, with the taglines boasting: 2000 times the scares!, and Welcome To The New Millennium Of Fear!

The first two books, Cry of the Cat and Bride of the Living Dummy, were made into episodes of the Goosebumps TV Series. Four books have monsters that appeared in the movie GoosebumpsInvasion of the Body Squeezers (Part 1 and Part 2), Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls, and The Haunted Car.

    • Although the book was never released, Tim Jacobus has released the original artwork for the unpublished book.
    • Stine later confirmed that the plot for The Adventures of Shrinkman had evolved from this book.
  • The Body Squeezers, The Graveyard Ghouls, and The Haunted Car appeared in the Goosebumps film.
